How do I sign up for classes? If you would like to sign up for classes, we recommend that you follow this process: Before taking any lessons with the Dance School LA, we require that you fill out a Registration form. There are two separate forms for the school: for Students (younger than 18 years old), and for Adults (ages 18 and up). If you are a parent looking to enroll your child in our program, please refer to the Student Registration page. (This includes an enrollment/ Registration fee of $40 per family.) If you are an Adult and are interested in taking any of our Adult/Advanced classes or Master Classes, please enroll via the Adult Registration page. (This includes a one-time enrollment/ Membership Registration fee of $30 per individual.) Apply to become a Member Once you become a member you will be granted your own membership page and will have access to our Parent Forum or Adult Class Forum (depending on the classes you have signed up for). Your protected member page will give you up-to-date information regarding your past and upcoming payments, any bookings or subscriptions you are currently enrolled in, any personal information you share with us, and, via the Parent or Adult Class Forum, you will be able to get updates regarding new classes, recitals and costuming, volunteer opportunities, member discounts, and more! Please see the below "How do I become a member?" FAQ for more information. Sign Up for Classes * There are two different ways you can pay for classes: By paying for a Drop-In (which is a one-time fee for a one-time class). By contacting the school in order to enroll in classes with our DISCOUNTED Monthly Subscription Plan (which will be billed every month until the end of the school season - for youth students - or cancelled - for adult members). If you need any assistance, please reach out to us and give us a call or text. If we miss you, please feel free to leave a message so that we may get back to you promptly.

Can I get a sibling discount?Yes, of course you can! We offer all members a tuition discount for families of 2 or more children if one (or more) of the siblings is taking 2+ classes a week. If you would like this discounted rate then please contact the school before purchasing a plan, as the processing will be through monthly invoice subscription.

What is the difference between a Drop-In and a Subscription?A Drop-In rate is a one-time fee for a one-time class, while a Monthly Subscription Plan is a form of enrollment that allows you to take one or multiple enrolled classes each month at a discounted rate, and will be billed every month until cancelled. Drop-In classes are for students and adults who would prefer some freedom in taking weekly classes. (Although this is not recommended for students who would like to progress in skill and technique.) We recommend Monthly Subscription Plans as they are considerably cheaper than Drop-In rates and offer the opportunity for students to dance in our Recitals. If you are a student who would like to be a part of our annual performances, we suggest that you sign up for a discounted monthly subscrpition plan, as drop-in students will not be enrolled to perform. NOTE: There are no recital performances for Adult classes, however performance opportunities may arise. And, cancelling or freezing a Monthly Subscription Plan (also known as Discounted Pricing Plan) requires some processing fees. Please refer to our Policies page for the most up-to-date information regarding our Tuition Policies.

How do I access my online class? Our online and "hybrid" classes can always be accessed via the bookings email that is sent after you are added to a lesson, through the reminder email you receive the day before class, and via our website! Here's how to view it through our online site: Log in to thedanceschoolla.com via your Membership info. Go to MY BOOKINGS. Click on the upcoming class to open a drop down menu. Then click on "Open Meeting Link" to join the class. (Make sure to have Zoom installed on your device before beginning this step.) The link will then start the ZOOM app on your device and automatically open the meeting. **All of your class meeting links are saved on your My Bookings dashboard. Class links are never re-used -- we make sure to have new links each time in order to keep your young dancer(s) and our classes safe.
